Welcome to St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School
St Matthew's is a large, multicultural school in the heart of Ipswich. We have close links with St Matthew’s church which is just next door and our Christian ethos underpins everything that we do. In March 2019 we joined the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan MAT and we now work closely with a number of church schools in Suffolk as well as other schools nearby. Our staff are committed to giving each and every child the best start in life. We work hard to help pupils fulfil their academic potential, but place equal emphasis upon their emotional and social development. The children at St Matthew’s are amazing and we celebrate their enthusiasm, diversity and achievements whenever we get the chance. We hope you find our website useful and informative.
