Music
Music is an area of the curriculum that we are passionate about at St Matthew's. It is taught weekly in all year groups, giving all children the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence. We are blessed with a wide range of instruments and resources which help to make music lessons engaging and exciting. The pupils at St Matthew's develop their creativity, aspiration, communication and knowledge of the world through our broad and rich music curriculum which gives them the opportunity to listen, appraise, compose and perform music for a range of purposes both in school and at major events such as Young Voices. We have a well established school samba band, choir and performing arts group which the children in Key Stage Two can join and have fun with their peers after school.
