PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic)

PSHE is taught as a discrete lesson throughout the school, often responding to current events in the news or to situations in class as they arise.

A weekly Class Dojo is posted so that parents know what their children have discussed in the lesson.

The PSHE curriculum is enhanced by working in partnership with other local agencies including Suffolk Mind, OneLife Suffolk and the police.

    RSE (Relationships and Sex Education)

RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) is taught in line with statutory guidance during the Summer Term. Parents were involved in the consultation process and are offered access to the planning and resources before the units of work are taught.

The Relationship and Health elements will be taught through the 'Jigsaw' resources, which have been created to ensure a mindful approach to Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and are aimed to increase pupil confidence. Jigsaw is a unique, spiral, progressive and effective scheme of work, aiming to prepare children/young people for life, helping them really know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.
