Geography

The Geography curriculum reflects our multiculturalism and diversity as a school, whilst including lots about Great Britain too. The book 'Maps' by Mizielinska and Mizielinski is often used as an introduction to new areas of study. World maps are displayed in every classroom and used as an ongoing point of reference. For example, identifying the birth place of authors, scientists and artists. This helps pupils make connections with their learning.

We have recently adapted our Geography curriculum, identifying the key knowledge and vocabulary to be taught each year and ensuring that there is progression across the school from EYFS to Year 6. The curriculum map below is being trialled this year.
