History
Historical themes often lie at the heart of our curriculum topics, with pupils enjoying learning about Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, World War Two and so much more. There are timelines in every classroom and there is a focus on developing a sense of chronology. The book 'Timeline' by Peter Goes is often used as a starting point when new topics are introduced.
We have recently adapted our History curriculum, identifying the key knowledge and vocabulary to be taught each year and ensuring that there is progression across the school, from EYFS to Year 6. The curriculum map below is being trialled this year.
